Topic	Which Final Fantasy should I get next?

I actually agree FFVI isn't must play as a JRPG. I'd call it a must play for a Final Fantasy fan but you could easily dip your toes in the series with FFVII or FFX instead and go from there based on whetheryou like them. Chrono Trigger is what I'd call a must play (and I greatly prefer FFVI but CT just hits fundamentals like pacing better even if VI has a better cast and plot) I have played Chrono Trigger (though not Cross) and hear it compared to 6 a lot, I know they were released around the same time but I am very interested to see which side of the fence I'll fall on.
