The guy never mentions that it's the theory either, all his exmaples including theory go on to explicitly state that the manner it went on to be used is the racist portion, not the theory itself. Even the professor in the video never explicitly states it's 'theory' - it's the fact of who we study is what, through music, has led to racism and disinfranchisement

Whether or not Neely really realizes that.. that was my whole schpiel lol
but the video is literally about the way theory is taught.

it examines the history of why it came to be taught that way (in short, it's white supremacy), examines the effect that this has on what theory gets taught (one example from the video is the over-emphasis on figured bass), and poses alternatives (such as broadening the focus to include theoretical concepts from outside the specific framework created by Schenker)
