The "burger sauce" stuff that restaurants make and then everyone talks about how great it is. It's just mayo+stuff generally. What's a good initial thing for me to make at home, and then I can then adjust for myself later? I'll probably add a pinch of MSG in it, but, I'm not sure what else to add.


You're not going to find that kind of sauce at an actual burger restaurant. That's just fast food stuff.

Fair point. Reminds me of a coworker who is experienced but also cocky. On more than several occasions he would blame clients for mistakes that he should have caught.

This reminds me of the talent show contestants where family and friends say they are great but when reviewed by professionals, they are less so.

Regarding food, I have a high tolerance for bad food so unless something is really badly made (i.e. too much seasoning, burnt, uncooked, etc.) I probably will just say the food is good if asked by a waiter. Something can be a little dry and I will be fine with it.

In all my times of eating at a restaurant, only once did someone in my group questioned their dish. Someone at a table worked as a cook and said the mushrooms in his plate was not fresh. The actual cook/chef of the restaurant came to our table to assure the person the mushrooms are not canned mushrooms. Rest of us at the table just silently kept eating while looking away.


Canned mushrooms have a distinct color and flavor.
