Your arthritis acts up whenever it rains.

the rest of these are dumb, but I'd be lying if i said the majority of my old injuries didn't scream when its damp. Not quite arthritis yet, but those days are unpleasant for me for sure.

I'm as old as my bones, and a little older than my teeth. I'm still nowhere near 50.

I work hard, i play hard, i suffer the consequences of living a hard life. it is what it is. i live with it. i don't starve myself or fish for compliments because of it, fuck me, right?

as to the possibility of a snake in my boot, i live in the Hudson Valley region of NY.

in a second floor apartment, the possibility of a snake is remote period.

Garter Snakes, Corn Snakes, Timber Rattlers, and Water Moccasins are about the only possible options. i see the odd garter once in a while. I stay away from the Hudson, and most of the creeks feeding it, so the water Moccasin is ruled out. Moodna and Quasaic are nearby, but one is a piddle, and the other is an open sewer, so no wading there. there might be corn snakes on bear mountain, but I haven't been there in 3 years. That leaves the Timber Rattlers, which would piss me off about as much as a Wolf Spider, but 99% wouldn't kill me, despite my occasional hikes up Snake Hill and spy rock for the view...though i did see one hell of a Timber Rattler molt one day on the way up there. We also have an honest-to-God Crystal Lake nearby. I chuckle to myself everytime i'm in that part of town because...its crystal fucking lake.
