I was particularly surprised to see it score above King Tut's Curse in that aspect. Well, don't forget, I score importance on their influence in their particular media too, which can sometimes look a little inflated when compared to others. It just seems to me, as far as the medium of VNs go, Umineko is just gigantic. It sold like hotcakes, it inspired mangas, novels, an anime, a fighting game, the OST is popular, it's one of the few VNs at least to me that isn't niche and penetrated the mainstream to some extent. MetalmindStats posted... I thought its script's stilted attempts at humor kind of worked because they felt like things the characters would actually say given their background and situation. Yeah I can see where you're coming from. Like Ace's over-seriousness and difficulty at making real jokes, or sometimes when you describe things to Snake due to his blindness. It just seemed like sometimes the characters were more concerned with saying their snarky one liners than actually escaping their situation! --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
