She gets dragged around the snow all in her undergarments too. I always thought that would be just as bad, if not worse than the shaft fall. To save her, you pretty much always have to pick the fastest route, and in doing so, never miss a QTE. ---- A lot of your deaths were prevented by simply not doing anything at all. Not pointing the gun at anyone, not attempting to save Emily, not investigating the voice. In fact, a lot of detrimental things are avoided by simply not doing something, like saving Mike's fingers (which you also did).
