Hangover is strong when you can stack it quickly with lots of quick attacks and easily

Like, throwing the shield can spread it around a ton of enemies quickly, but it only puts one stack of hangover unless you spam your shield over and over, which means you can't be attacking with it. So it kinda sucks for throwing. Meanwhile, if you put Doom on your shield throw, your shield will hit everything and do a nice doom explosion on all of them. In that case I think Doom is clearly way better than Hangover.

but if you are hitting something quickly, like with the fists attack combo, or maybe the bow / spear daedelus upgrades that make them attack quickly, you stack it to max stacks basically as soon as you touch something and it'll never really fall off. in those cases it's way stronger than Doom, since those attacks only applies doom once no matter how many times you hit... you have to wait until the Doom expires to apply it again. In that case, I think Hangover is way better than Doom.
