SAW (2004)

If you take this movie in its own context, pretending that nothing else happened in the series, its a damned good horror movie. In fact i do believe this was the last time a horror movie legitimately scared me. Certainly it has its issues, but it also has a whole lot it does right.

All in all, it was a fresh take on the genre, and it paved the way for a number of shitty sequels that i do very much enjoy.

This was less about the quantity of murders, and more about the psychological torment inflicted on all the victims. As such, i dont think the murder pacing is super relevant again.

favorite kill? not really that kinda movie.

6 people die, but like i said, this movie was less about the body count.

I rate this one 4/5
