Also being inside 1-4 means it is hard to dodge enemies yourself. 3-1 is generally a good level to go to. There's a Starman you can get and lots of enemies to send including Hammer Brothers. 2-2 is also good if you have a Fire Flower since sending a pile of Bloopers to someone who isn't in a water level can be nasty. If you somehow find a way to 4-1, Lakitu and Spiny can be deadly. --- My bracket looked like random picks compared to his.
