If the car looked expensive and the damage was superficial, I'd be more likely to leave without giving my name/number And if i was in a rush that could affect my decision as well I've seen friends get burned. If I'm going to accept responsibility, i need to stay and take pictures etc to make sure they don't collude with their mechanic to run up the bill --- You did indeed stab me in the back.
