I like completely forgot about this thread for a week or so. I used to check this thread many times a day. It is very weird how so many seem determined to act like everything is fine when it is actually much worse.
I have to make the comparison as well that people seem more used to protesting and general civil unrest. BLMs approval ratings were super high after the George Floyd killing and have now dropped to levels previous of that incident.
It's like this country at large doesn't want to learn a lesson about anything and just wants to maintain status quo with a fingers in the ears type attitude. Like I'm trying to be a "good" person and treat all of the major ills currently facing society with seriousness, but I still feel fatigue. Everything feels so much more stressful and I just want to forget about it sometimes.
Yeah, people eventually got burnt out from both. It doesn't matter if things have gotten better or not.
