When I give songs for these topics, I normally ask the hosts what "blind spots" they have in music and try to tailor my nominations to that. Is there any type of music you can think of that you don't know a lot about? Doesn't have to be limited to genre.

Let's see...

-I have virtually no experience with rap music outside of songs from my previous topics.

-At my first topic, I declared that I hated classical music; in truth, I honestly haven't listened to enough of it to have a valid opinion.

-I think the only opera song I know is that one song from Pagliacci which can best be described as "that one opera song everyone knows".

-I have never seen or listened to an entire Broadway play that was not based on an existing license.

-There really aren't many albums I've listened to in general; even with artists I seem to like, if it's not the type of thing you'd find on a Greatest Hits album, I probably don't know it.

-Don't have much experience with non-English songs in general, outside of some Japanese and Cantonese--handsomeboy's done a fair job of educating me on classic cantopop & there's usually a fair smattering of Japanese songs nominated, but for example, I don't think there's ever been a French song nominated.

-There are massive gaps in my knowledge of music from the 90s on. Especially with current music--don't think I could tell you a single song released this year.

[...well, I suppose I've heard of WAP and I'm aware Carly Rae released some music, but I couldn't tell you any names.]

-I keep saying I'll look up what Emo music is, but never actually do so.

-I have an interest in songs that could be described as "sad, but not soul-crushingly depressing". See: Misery by Creeper, What a Heartache by Dolly Parton, I Am a Rock by Simon & Garfunkle. I've never gone looking for any, but it'd be pretty neat to expand that playlist a bit.

-Wikipedia describes every song that has ever existed as "post hardcore", to a point that it became a running gag at the first topic. I'm not sure I actually know what post hardcore is. I'm not sure I'm convinced that it even exists as a genre because IT IS EVERYTHING.

-Truthfully, I could use another openly demonic or Satanic song. I listened to quite a bit of Year Zero by Ghost and Satan's a Woman by Twin Temple earlier this year... though those are both fairly easy listening. I don't think i've ever heard anything really hardcore demon worshiping or been compelled to seek any out; first thought is that things could go way too far very quickly, but I dunno, can't really judge something I've never heard.

-In spite of my love for The Megas & participating in an entire ranking topic of classic Mega Man songs, you'd probably be shocked how little I know about the soundtracks of the spin-offs.

-On a related note, I love Modern Sonic soundtracks, but the Genesis era is significantly less familiar. Game Gear games are almost entirely a blind-spot. ...like not just "Sonic game gear games", but I can't even name a single Game Gear song that I really like right now. I love Game Boy music, Game Gear is...a thing that exists, I suppose?

-VGM remixes in general are a blind spot. I never seek them out and very few of them get nominated.

As for things I actually have knowledge of...

+Grew up listening to an oldies station, so I'm familiar with the greatest hits from the 50s through the 80s.

+I think I've heard everything by The Protomen & The Megas, as well as almost everything by The Chipmunks & Chipettes.

...Yes, the only three artists I've actively followed are people performing as fictional characters.

+I think I'm pretty well-versed in music from cartoons, as you would likely expect from the previous point.

+UF8 has shown me a lot of VTuber songs, so I'm fairly well-versed on those too.

+I've heard everything nominated at the last three VGMCs at least once. So I have a general familiarity with the type of VGM people on this board like to nominate.
