Because the Democrats held an actual trial. The trial produced a verdict. The verdict was NOT GUILTY. There's a reason prosecutors don't file charges if they think someone probably committed a crime but don't think they can convict. If you go to trial and it results in an acquittal, that person is permanently exonerated even if you later find evidence that they're guilty.
