I mean "Thanks to lockdowns and social distancing that we shouldn't have done we only know of 20 million people who have caught it so who cares if 750 thousand of them die?" mentality is just weird logic on like 4 different levels


I haven't downplayed anything. The whole point of the topic was how would society react to a pandemic of a disease with a fatality rate ten fold of this one.

Nowhere did I say this isn't important. So any implications of "downplaying" was created in your own head.
