Russia has invaded so many of their neighbors (notably alleged future US allies Georgia and Ukraine) and despite being far weaker than China nothing serious has happened to them. It shouldn't surprise people China wants in on the no consequences foreign policy other nuclear powers engage in. The CCP is awful, and I have a personal vested interest in the situation there due to family, buy I don't know what people think will happen. Nuclear armed countries get to do whatever they want without consequence. North Korea has even killed South Korea military, sunk an entire ship for no reason, and absolutely nothing was done to them in response. Obama lead pretty heavy handed economic sanction on russia.
