Friends on the Other Side is an excellent villain song, and frankly one of Disney's best. It's no secret that Keith David just has an incredible voice which naturally embodies Facilier's devious nature. I mentioned a while back, but I definitely think Facilier's trickery is a little more straightfoward than someone like Ursula. She was straightforward with Ariel, even gave her a contract and everything, but Facilier is just classic "play on words" trickery, getting the naive prince to agree to become a frog because he wants "the green" and freedom to "hop" from place to place. It's kind of funny, because he does actually give Lawrence what he wants without tricking him. There's still the sense of mystery over Dr. Facilier though. It's obvious from the beginning that he's up to something, but at this point we have no idea what exactly that is.
