Ive read a number of opinion articles with the exact same headline these past weeks.

The maximum number of people allowed in a crowd has been 50 since March here in Sweden because of the pandemic and the recommendation from FHM (The Public Health Agency) is to keep that number.

This has led to amusement parks, travelling fairs/markets and concerts being cancelled/forced to stay closed.

Now people from these different industries are writing articles about how immoral and cruel the Government and Riksdagen are being for not increasing the number and they deserve money from the State to stay in business.

Sweden is one of the nations with the smallest economic lockdown in the world but not allowing large crowds tightly packed in amusement parks during a global pandemic is simply common sense. New deaths and hospitalizations have dropped to a very low number so keeping the recommendations to minimize the spread of a potential second wave is also common sense. Several major hospitals now have zero covid-19 patients in the ICU. Lets give them the ability to rest their staff and resupply so they can keep doing an amazing job in case the number of hospitalizations goes up again.

That is far more important than rollercoasters and cotton candy.
