| The Wave Master 08/07/20 9:00:27 PM #26: | Rumors out of Capcom are that the direction of Street Fighter 6 was not great. The game had some weird tag mechanics that just didn't mesh with the traditional 2D one on one fighting known to the series. Play testers, developers, and higher ups were not pleased with the game or Yoshinori Ono's directing and direction. Thus the game was scrapped and they're starting back over from scratch. In the process Ono was demoted within Capcom and is no longer directing Street Fighter 6. Considering that Street Fighter V was a mess from launch Capcom didn't want a repeat of the backlash of that game and Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. This is why a whole extra year of Street Fighter 5 content was just announced. It is going to give the new developers a few years to properly develop SF6. Originally the last update to SF5 was goibg to be the Seth DLC pack, but with development not going well on SF6 Capcom decided to keep supporting SF5 for another year. --- We are who we choose to be. ...
