| legendarylemur 08/01/20 8:52:30 PM #294: | Yeah I guess that's how they're gonna explain it. There was the original series and the reboot series. The reboot series is just an adaptation of the manga, but it's all the same character with similar arcs but very very slight differences everywhere. Up until now, there wasn't any implied connection between them, and the IF series Ibuki is a reboot universe Ibuki I believe. The original had two different series, 2nd one being G, where Ibuki is a deuteragonist, but the reboot series is actually not gonna do a reboot version of the G series, and IF is supposed to sorta fill that role. They're gonna move on to Overdress after IF is done. The season before IF is a prequel to the reboot series, starring one of the main character's uncle who runs the card shop and acts as a mentor to the main cast. That one is highly praised and acts as a really emotional backdrop to the character and the card shop that most of the series takes place in. His niece Misaki had a huge role as one of the main chars in the original, but bizarrely she has a much more subdued role as just a teammate in the reboot.
