| Topic | Just played Gloomhaven for the first time |
| Mud Turkey 13 08/01/20 10:42:27 AM #19: | I got the full game when it was last featured on Kickstarter, and I just completed the final story mission about a month ago. It is an amazing board game. I also got Jaws of the Lion when it came out, but I have not played it yet. Jaws of the Lion is intended to be a way to introduce people to Gloomhaven, and, from everything I've heard, it does a fantastic job of that. Plus, it has over 20 full fledged missions to do after you get through the first five or so tutorial type missions. It also includes four new characters that can be used in standard Gloomhaven. The maps and overall scale of the game are the only things really sort of dumbed down for Jaws. In Gloomhaven you have tiles to build maps; whereas, Jaws of the Lion has a book with all of the maps printed in it. It is definitely my favorite board game.
