pretty fucking maddening conversation with my dad about computer stuff

he got 35 different docs from someone and wanted to compile them into one after editing them all individually. But he uploads each doc to his email in 35 different ones as attachments. and he's telling me to use the docs on his email instead of the ones already on his computer because the ones in the emails are the "fixed" ones. But they're the SAME since he's the one who sent the docs to himself after editing them. But he keeps insisting that the ones on the email are the correct ones and the ones already on the computer are the old ones since he got them from the other person. and i'm like LOOK the email says you sent it to yourself. how can they be different!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!111111111111
