Does hydroxycholorquine work? I have zero idea and im a highly educated person. Trump says it does and he is an idiot, so i tend not to believe it. On the other side the very anti-trump media has been obsessed with saying that it doesnt work starting from the second it came out of his mouth, long before any relevant trials or studies, so for all i know it could work just fine but they dont want him scoring points being right.

Trying to find objectivity these days is exhausting

It works during the early stages (low virus count) of infection. The downside is people wait (or are unaware) until it's too late.

On the flip side taking it prophylactically has side effects to the point where it's at best debatable that the benefits outweigh the negatives. To use Ulti's analogy, you wouldn't take chemo prophylactically to prevent cancer.
