If you pick up ACNH now, you'll be very behind but they did just release a summer diving update so you'll have a lot to do. Personally, I didn't enjoy Pokmon Sword and Shield as I felt it was lacking in many aspects. They remastered the first Xenoblade game too if that interests you. --- Hello, I lack empathy.
