As we see what's going on in Portland and across the nation, can anyone tell me why I shouldn't consider this to be the unmasking of American conservatism?

Of the conservatives who have anything to say about unmarked federal agents violating states' and individuals' rights by grabbing people off the streets, detaining them, tear gassing them and shooting them, they seem to unanimously support it. They take glee in it. This is what they think should happen to their political and cultural enemies to keep them in line. They don't care about civil rights, human rights, or small government as long as the bad things are happening to the right people.

And those that aren't actively cheering on the American secret police are utterly silent or deflect to Antifa or BLM or Biden.

People were called hyperbolic for suggesting that Trump and the Republican Party were exhibiting fascistic and anti-democratic tendencies, but now it's "fascism is good actually, so long as those white leftists get it"
