Kinda getting Tool vibes from some of it - one track especially (Spinning). Spinning is weird. he's only done that live a couple of times. BS is one of those music artists that really shines when they play live. don't get me wrong, the studio cuts are great tracks, but they lack the energy and exploration / improv of the live versions. plus the live shows have a BUNCH of covers. lots of old, traditional bluegrass tunes but also random ones like "Atlantic City" (Springstien), "Wild Horses" (Rolling Stones), and "Believe" (Cher). if you wanna hear what he really sounds like, or rather, why i and most of his fans really like him, listen to his shows. i posted a real, real good one above (post #18). or you can hop on here and browse. https://relisten.net/billy-strings TheGoldenEel posted... Yeah for example take a look at this music festival lineup just announced today.
