America was founded by an insurrectionist army that succeeded on taking over British colonies though.

This. It's literally a country built on rebellion. And both flags use the same colors, just in different configurations.

yeah but they were pro America, dude!

So were the Confederate States of America.

It literally represents an insurrectionist army that tried for four years to fight and take over the US.

It didn't "try to take over the US," it was a war for independence.

Even ignoring the fucked up slavery aspect of it,

The US literally won its independence largely to preserve slavery which Britain had been phasing out. Even if the Civil War was largely about slavery, so was the Revolutionary War.

its anti American and youre supporting traitors that hated America.

Or rather patriots who loved the original vision of America. Compare that to Antifa which burns US flags at their rallies.

One side fought for a USA they believed in. The other side fought for a CSA they believed in.

They still fought for a USA they believed in, they just had to change the name for branding reasons because otherwise it'd be confusing.

DirtBasedSoap posted... oh yeah, what did they want state rights for again?

To not be mass-murdered for protesting a whiskey tax shortly after they'd just fought a war in which they protested a tea tax?
