You can very easily have an effective progressive taxation system without going full Soviet. Just not when your entire government is bought and paid for by corporate lobbyists that would rather see their numbers get meaninglessly bigger than actually improve the world around them in any way, plus more than half of your country thinks that's a good thing. --- This is my signature.
