The Roku Channel is a free channel on Roku that has ad supported TV shows and movies, usually taken from other channels. Sometimes stuff ends up free on there as promo material. Like HBO's Watchmen was on there for free one weekend. And yes, there's no HBO Max or Peacock on any Roku or Amazon device.
