They clearly liked the idea of the ad and saw it worked, they just hated that it had production values apparently. i think you may be misunderstanding this. they were persuadable, but it's not that the ad had production value; it's that it made their firm look emotionally manipulative and cheap. they're obsessed with doing things very much by the book. they feel doing otherwise could compromise their reputation, and that is paramount for a firm like theirs. --- yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness ...
