The issue I had was the GPU has its own HDMI port, but out of the box all the ports had plugs for protection, and I thought those plugs were something to keep on the brackets when you plug it in. Using the HDMI part on the MOBO didn't give a signal to the monitor. Took me a good while to figure out that was the issue. And its also easier (the way my case was laid out at least) to plug all your plugs into the PSU before you put the PSU in its slot on the case, that way all you gotta do is run the cords to their respective places.
