I'm not sure about Veronica, but Presea is a very well-liked character in ToS (might be better-liked overall than Lloyd), and I think her design won't turn away nearly as many people. She is hurt by admittedly not being an archetype of character Gfaqs cares for. Agree with Low Fodder for Arceus. The "Pokemon God" thing is really all it has going for it, which won't be enough to overcome being a Gen 4 pokemon.
