Had it all been handled differently, you could've at least rationalized that this would've been a hard term of presidency for anyone, similar to Bush Jr.'s years. But it's astounding just how bad his response to anything has been this entire time. I imagine when it's all over, a lot of his diehard advocates will deny or play down the support they had for him.
