You can't say, "well, I like that the Packers have more historical success, better uniforms, and are owned by the fans, but I like that the Patriots have more recent success and play in a bigger market". You either pick one team or the other, and live with all aspects of that team. It doesn't work like that in politics. Basically every person in the US is going to have slightly different political views from everyone else (maybe it's not that diverse, but it's close enough), but instead of agreeing to disagree some people think you have to agree on everything or you aren't part of a certain group.
