Always have. Geen Wilder as Willy Wonka is one of my favorite performances of all time. But I definitely gotta give some credit to Julie Dawn Cole here, who just effortlessly dominates this scene. I never cared for Veruca Salt as a character, which is kind of the point. She's the worst. She's the definition of spoiled taken to its absolute extreme. It's not entirely her fault either, because her dad is a total enabler, where she ultimately just seems to be testing her limits with him, which ultimately don't exist. She's hateable, but not evil. While the song itself isn't much, Cole has some nice range here, going from shouting orders to quiet and calm within moments.
