Not exactly. Ellie wasn't Joel's biological daughter and even though they went through quite a bit of shit together to get to that point, Joel would have realistically died in that huge hospital firefight. So that considered, the average person would have realized how fucked the situation is and remorsefully resign their stepdaughter to her fate, or almost assuredly die in vain in firefight and only to still lose her anyway. You'd have to be a fucking idiot to judge someone for giving up when the odds are that stacked against them.
So basically your saying you would have giving up Ellie because your a pussy?
