We have entered the modern era, which means we can start voting on world leaders periodically! There has been a lot of jockeying for favor with city states amongst China, Portual, and Austria, and we have entered the mix ourselves. However, for the time being, we decided to cast our hosting votes with our good friend Indonesia, both as a means to indebt them, and to keep it out of any of the 3 aforementioned civ's hands.

Our uber spy has officially moved on from China as we have eclipsed them in research, and are in fact sitting close behind austria for first in the literacy department. Meanwhile, we have another spy sitting in HQ on the lookout for any enemy spies, and a 3rd spy attempting to rig some city state elections as a means to help us get in the diplomacy game.

We chose to follow the order ideology, as China had gone with autocracy and Portugal had gone with order. Our culture would inevitably crumble if we tried to go out on our own with Freedom so we decided to still get an early adopter bonus with order. However, our tourism has increased multiple times over with the addition of the relics we got when we took control of Thebes.

For the time being, we are focusing our efforts in raising funds and the overall betterment of our cities, rather than building up an army. While the thirst for blood can only be quelled for so long, we don't want to set the entire world against us. China is angry with us but the rest of the world are on good terms, we don't want to ruin that right now.

Edit: Scratch that, austria is upset with us for differing ideologies, and india is upset by our warmongering.
