| Topic | serious question: can gender be synonymous with personality? |
| Pus_N_Pecans 06/09/20 9:43:28 AM #5: | I suppose it CAN, and I do think that my personality aligns with the way I present myself, but to me, gender presentation is much more about how I'd like others to treat me. I personally think gender roles are entirely outdated, but society as a whole DOES treat men and women differently. There isn't a simple fix to any of this, but if people would just show each other a little more respect in regard to identity, and let trans or non binary people live their lives without being questioned or harassed, there'd be a lot less pressure on everyone else to put up this dumb faade of compliance to social norms, and we'd be a happier species altogether. --- ...
