7. Aubry Bracco (15th place)
So most of you know I'm a pretty big Aubry fan. In the immediate wake of Kaoh Rong, I ranked her as my #3 favorite Survivor character of all time. Obviously that was a bit of an overreaction and I'm not even sure that today she would be my #1 for the season. But she's still awesome. She was quite a bit of a letdown in Game Changers, lasting until the finale but being mostly a background character, but here's why I feel she redeemed herself in 38 - it's not because she was suddenly some big awesome character again (although she WAS still good old Aubry we know and love, albeit toned down a bit), but because of her story. Specifically, how she completed her three-season story arc. Back in 32, she was a nervous wreck who had to slowly build her confidence over the course of the season. Come to 38, and this time she's so confident that she gets blindsided pre-merge as a major threat with an idol and an advantage in her pocket. It was such a turnaround from how she started her Survivor journey and made her being such a minor character in her return appearances worth it.
