all's i'm saying is painting a narrative that cops are only a few bad apples and having it broadcasted to boomers and other people in charge of voting/making policy is toxic as fuck and needs to stop

so many of these "few bad apples" excusers are just a bunch of boomers who never interacted with actual cops and just think that all cops work like they do on law and order and blue bloods. that's not real life.

Not really.

The ideal thing is a gay African-American man worked his way up to Captain and as a result the cops under him are generally pretty good. But there's constant references to the discrimination he did and still does receive. I totally think next season will have an episode about the protests.

But at the end of the day it's a comedy about a bunch of quirky detectives. So most of it is comedy. But the show does wear its politics on its sleeve and it's a pretty liberal show.
