I support the movement with all my heart. I can't imagine being an African American in this country and seeing what happened to George Floyd or any of the other number of people killed by cops when there were non violent means to end what was going on. I wish I could say I get what they are feeling, but I can't. I will never understand that because I never lived anything close to something like that, so I can't say what they are feeling is out of line. I do wish cooler heads will prevail in certain situations though. At least target where you riot better. Someone posted a clip from the LA riots in the 90s last night where a black store owner was upset with people who destroyed his store. He came from the ghetto and he made it to where he was, and they took it from him. Leave the innocent people alone. Want to fuck up Wal Mart? I mean I guess go do it, that's a drop in a bucket to them. Some mom and pop shop already struggling with the pandemic shouldn't feel the brunt of this protest.

Ideally they do a peaceful protest, but I can understand why they turned to violence. They've done peaceful protests, and nothing has changed. Even people with a spotlight did a peaceful protest, and their livelihood was taken from them and they were ridiculed. I can only imagine the level of frustration that has been built up. Resorting to violence, especially after such a senseless and sad death, I can understand that. I just wish the world we lived in fixed this problem 50 years ago.
