lasting damage to the body?

Some research indicates that damage ranging from long-lasting pneumonia in the lungs, to bacterial infections, to kidney damage that requires dialysis, to low blood-oxygen levels, to abnormal blood clotting, and more, are present in survivors of COVID-19.

As time goes on, we are of course going to see more cases, which means more people who survive it. I feel like so many people look at recovery in a binary perspective, where you either die in a very small and worst case scenario, or survive it and are 100% fine, when that really isn't the case. It seems more like a spectrum of prognoses, where death is only one point at one end, and there is a whole host of very unsavory symptoms and effects this virus has for many other points on the spectrum (look at Nick Cordero for a sad case that is probably dangerously close to the 'death point' on the spectrum).

Does anyone have any longlasting effects of COVID-19 or know someone who has them? I'm trying to convince family and friends to stay in and not take a slowdown in news coverage or cases in our area as a sign that we are in a celebratory victory lap. I of course look for articles too, such as one that I found of a young and healthy NYT writer who apparently still has trouble not getting out of breath just from walking around, 1 month after a release from a hospital.
