My girlfriend and I have started playing video games together, and its been pretty fun.

We saw that Pokemon Lets Go had multiplayer, so we picked that up, but the multiplayer was severely lacking, tbh. We still had a lot of fun taking turns and watching each other, but it wasnt what we expected.

we bought a puzzle game called Conduct Together and had a lot of fun with this, too. It was short and frustrating at times, but it was way more enjoyable than a one-cent game had a right to be. 7/10.

next we bought Mario Odyssey and LOVED it. Wed take turns finding moons as Mario and the other person would be the hat. She liked doing purple coin hunting and I liked doing the time challenges. I thought it was great. This was the first game Ive ever done to 100%. We got all the moons, and bought the rest up to the max, and still traveled around grinding coins until we could buy every outfit.

were thinking our next game will be Luigis Mansion 3, Yoshis Crafted World, or Mario+Rabbids (on sale for $15 on the nintendo store rn). Anyone have thoughts on these? What about other, non-Mario games?

were looking for something cooperative, not person vs person. Also, story-driven would be better than party games (smash, Mario kart, etc.), even if the story is not very good or full of depth; wed like there to be an end-goal.

one last thing: We only have one Switch so were locked into local multiplayer on that end, but were thinking about buying Minecraft on PC so we could play when were not in the same room. Is this a good 2-player game? Any other PC games that we might enjoy? we both have Microsoft Surface Pro 7s, so probably nothing super intense.
