| Topic | Would a SSD fix my laptop being incredibly slow on startup? |

Sometimes when I restart my laptop, and more egregiously when I take it off of sleep mode, which is what I usually have it on, it'll take upwards of and over five minutes just to be able to reliably use any app or program, including Chrome, which seems insane. I can understand when I first restart the computer because everything needs to load on startup, so I've made it so only the essential programs load when I turn on the computer to minimize the time needed to wait. What I don't understand is why it takes forever for anything to work when the computer is already on and nothing needs to startup. It's only a few years old and I am very minimalist when it comes to stuff that I have installed on it. --- I was the final Undisputed Champion in UCA history, but azuarc was our Guru Champion! ...
