When they were remaking the movies, they got too caught up in the idea that live-action has to equal realism, despite the ridiculously unrealistic setting and characters involved. Take Lion King as an example. With the freedom of animation, they can exaggerate expressions of the characters and it makes for something that is more fun to watch. Where as with the live-action movies, they only are focused on making the animals look like real animals. They could have given them exaggerated expressions but they didnt, and as a result the animals look more like unenthusiastic mouth pieces with emotional human voices coming out of them.. --- ...
