Wanglicious 05/10/20 10:34:55 AM #48: | i think two months ago now i had a friend keeping track of this since Jan tell me and a couple friends her take on this: yes, this is "just the flu." before we had developed any immunity and resistance, that is. basically, what would happen if a flu variant spread for the first time ever? with the current numbers and estimates, i think she's got it. it has a low death rate, a high asymptomatic rate, but its infection rate is stupidly high and a lot of people are gonna die or need hospitals from that alone. there's a few major differences here and there - the length of time, the severity to the people it does hit, the symptoms, all the different biologic functions corona impacts that the flu doesn't - but it's a similar picture when looking at just the basic numbers. --- "Maybe it's a tentacle, molesting the planet itself. - Aschen Brodel. ...
