Especially in phase 2, you want to destroy them if you can't burn through phase 2 before the Curada. In my physical clears, I ignore the walls in round 2, but they get get destroyed in phase 3 when Noctis uses the AoE samurai. I'm not sure if the Radiant Shield is worth it. My Vincent is stacked with Glint, Chain, AASB and BUSB, so I really don't have any gauge to spare on it.
