Detractors are already digging into every aspect of his bankruptcy and speculating on the outcome--what harm is it going to do to tell the truth (or at least as close to a version of the truth as Phil is capable of telling)? If anything, it would give him a cause to rally his supporters around and a further reason to up his begging. And it would allow him to vent. But because he's hiding things, he's got to constantly pretend he doesn't know what people in chat are talking about while trying his best not to slip up and reveal anything he doesn't want his viewers to know. This is a good point. The detractors, KF especially, are never going to stop.
