Let's say we have a company that has 100 min wage employee's working at 10 an hour, 40 hours a week. Numbers picked for ease of use. That's 40,000 a week in paychecks. If they paid them 1 more an hour that would mean 44,000 a week. An additional 4,000. At a time when a lot of Americans are unemployed and staying home and product is hard as a result. I do agree that something is wrong with the American economy. I just don't think right now, when a lot of people are lucky to even HAVE a job and a lot of businesses can't absorb the impact, is the right time to complain.
