| Topic | An idiot lady tried running across the street and I hit her dog. Cops called. |
| PIITB415 04/08/20 9:08:17 PM #1: | I had the green light and I was maybe 30 feet from the intersection traveling at 35mph. This is a two lane road and I was on the furthest right lane. She was on the right side of the street and decided to try and cross; her dog ran ahead of her. She noticed my vehicle (ford explorer) and jumped back but by this point the dog ran into the crosswalk and I swerved into the left lane to try and avoid it but it was too late. Unfortunately she lost a pet today and I absolutely blew my top at her. I called the police just to have an official statement in case something comes of this later. Fortunately, I have this all on my dash cam and showed it to the officer. Just a shitty all around situation that could have been avoided. I could have killed a person and their pet today. If any of you own a vehicle invest in a dash cam. It will save you from possible jail time or lawsuits. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
