The measure being mandated is being used by the government not to actually stop the virus but to be used as a visual reminder of social distancing. The cloth protection being required is not able to stop the virus, as only the masks being explicitly excluded and reserved for medical personnel is designed and capable to do just that. --- Que sera, sera.
